Hey 15 year old, a life lived in fear is a life not yet lived. you can either let fear drive you, and spend your whole life looking back at what you COULD have done, or you can drive yourself, and look proudly at everything you've accomplished.

Hey 15 year old, Create a separate "Future Me" identity, and go out of your way to do nice things for them. Easiest form of self-care I've found. Do something nice for your future self, and treat your future self like a best friend, even if it's your tomorrow self.

Hey 15 year old, Do chores when you feel angry. Keep to yourself and wash dishes, gardening, sweeping the floor, etc. Use all that adrenaline towards something that will benefit you instead of doing impulsive stuff.

Hey 15 year old, If a man makes an indirect sexual comment about your body as a woman without your consent, ask him, "What do you mean?", "Can you be more specific?", "I'm not sure what you mean?" or "Can you repeat what you said? I didn't hear it."

Hey 15 year old, If you have trouble worrying, set a worry time in a day for a specific number of minutes, then stick to that. Then whenever you worry, tell yourself you can worry during your worry time later or next time, but not the rest of the day. It works.

Hey 15 year old, Responding to everything with negativity is a terrible habit that's easy to fall into. Internet culture rewards us for pessimism, but during personal interactions it's a huge turn-off. Don't be surprised if friends leave if you always complain.

Hey 15 year old, If you have to make a presentation in front of a group of people volunteer to be the first one up as everyone else will be so nervous about their own presentation that they won't pay attention to yours and will more than likely forget any mistake.

Hey 15 year old, When someone shares something about themselves, don't interrupt with a relatable story about yourself. Just listen. Better yet - ask them questions about it (without interrupting).

Hey 15 year old, You may not like being in pictures or taking them, but you will hate that you have no photos of some time period when you’re older. Take pictures even if it is out of your comfort zone occasionally, for your future self.

Hey 15 year old, Ask yourself "What does it matter to me?" the next time you find yourself judging someone for their clothing, or interests. The more you train yourself to not care about the personal preferences of other people, the more relaxed and nicer you become.

Hey 15 year old, If you're one of those aesthetic book loving teens who enjoy the artistry of classic novels, you can get a lot of free classic ebooks from Project Gutenberg (https://www.gutenberg.org/) if you can't afford as many books as you want to.

Hey 15 year old, Different people have different tolerance levels of suffering/enduring hardships and comparing different situations is not always helpful. "Others are starving in Africa" doesn't help.
